Where to watch Europa League final: Tottenham vs. Man United live stream, TV channel and start time

5 hours ago 1

This season's Europa League final is set to make history for all the wrong reasons, as Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur square off in what will be the competition's lowest-ranked showdown since its rebrand in 2009-10.

Tottenham find themselves teetering just above the trapdoor in 17th place in the Premier League, while Manchester United aren't much better off, sitting one rung higher in 16th. For two clubs once rubbing shoulders with Europe's elite, this final is less about glory and more about salvaging pride.

Until now, the lowest domestic finish by a Europa League winner belonged to Sevilla, who defied the odds in 2023 by lifting the trophy after limping to 12th in La Liga.

Fulham also made waves back in 2010 when they reached the final after finishing 12th in the Premier League, but no side has ever punched their ticket to the big dance from as far down the table as this year's finalists.

The Sporting News looks at the key details ahead of this game, including how to watch the match, kickoff times and the latest lineup news.

Tottenham vs. Man United predicted lineups, team news

While Amorim rolled out many of his top guns on Friday to keep the engines warm, Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou took a different route at Villa Park, fielding a rotated lineup and keeping a few cards close to the chest.

Despite holding his own between the sticks against Aston Villa, Antonin Kinsky is expected to pass the gloves back to Guglielmo Vicario for Wednesday's big showdown. Spurs are also set to welcome back some familiar faces, with Rodrigo Bentancur, Pedro Porro, Brennan Johnson and Dominic Solanke all likely to be thrown back into the mixer.

Club captain Heung-min Son, fresh off his first start since shaking off a foot injury, could retain his spot after a lively showing. However, it's a different story for Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, Timo Werner, Lucas Bergvall and Radu Dragusin — all ruled out of the final and stuck watching from the sidelines.

Up front, Solanke looks ready to shoulder the scoring load. The striker has been a thorn in Manchester United's side lately, finding the net in four straight clashes with the Red Devils.

Tottenham predicted XI (4-3-3, right to left): Vicario (GK) — Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie — Sarr, Bissouma, Bentancur — Johnson, Solanke, Son.

Injured: Kulusevski, Maddison, Werner, Bergvall, Dragusin.
Suspended: None.

Bruno Fernandes has been hitting the back of the net regularly in Europe this season, sharing the top spot in the Golden Boot race with seven strikes whilst also boasting four assists to his name. Hot on his heels is Rasmus Hojlund, one of several chasing the pack with six goals under his belt.

Mason Mount and Amad Diallo added some much-needed spark to Manchester United's sputtering front line during the second-leg win over Athletic Club, both showing signs of life just when the attack needed a lift.

However, it's not all sunshine and rainbows — defensive trio Matthijs de Ligt, Leny Yoro, and Diogo Dalot are question marks heading into the final, while Lisandro Martinez and Joshua Zirkzee have already been ruled out until next season.

Man United predicted XI (3-4-2-1, right to left): Onana (GK) — Lindelof, Maguire, Yoro — Mazraoui, Ugarte, Casemiro, Dorgu — Diallo, Fernandes — Hojlund.

Injured: De Ligt, Yoro, Dalot, Martinez, Zirkzee.
Suspended: None.
