The first of its kind, Shaquille O'Neal's professional league Dunkman is getting ready to crown its inaugural dunking champion this week.

Basketball Hall of Famer and entertainment personality Shaq revolutionized the world of dunking when he debuted a professional avenue for the spectacle earlier this year. Dunkman is the first and only established league dedicated to competitive dunking, and has already made waves in its inaugural season.

In the league's format, 24 of the world's best dunkers competed across four group-stage events to claim a spot in the World Championship field. Now only eight athletes remain, and they will battle it out for the title and $500,000 prize on Tuesday.
