When Is The ‘Gen V’ Last Episode Release Date? Season 2 Episode 8 Time, Channel, And More

9 hours ago 3

Gen V Season 2, Episode 7 proved a sad fact many viewers already know to be true about superheroes in this universe: You can’t save everybody. In fact, you probably shouldn’t save everybody in The Boys/Gen V.

Last week’s episode showed Marie using her new blood-bending capabilities to heal Thomas Godolkin, only to learn that he has secretly been controlling Cipher – whose actual name is Doug Brightbill – the entire time.

The revelation comes just in time as Polarity was about to kill Cipher to avenge his son Andre’s death. Episode 7 concluded with Godolkin flexing his powers and strolling the campus of his namesake university. This is a newly healed man who has been trapped in someone else’s mind for decades. No one knows what he’s capable of. But Godolkin’s plan is clear: Cull the God U student body of “circus freaks” to make room for the powerful. Will Marie and the gang be able to stop him? The revelation leaves the gang shaken and sets up what will surely be an explosive Season 2 finale.

So, when is the Gen V finale? And when do new episodes of Gen V release? Here is everything you need to know about Gen V S2, ep 8.

Will there be a Gen V Season 3?

Gen V creator Erik Kripke confirmed that they still have more planned for Gen V Season 3 and beyond, but they’ll need good ratings to ensure the show gets renewed.

“We’re psyched about it, but we need enough viewers to watch Season 2 to justify Season 3. Now’s the time that they’re paying attention to the numbers. So don’t watch even a year from now. Turn on Prime [Video] and watch it now,” he recently said in an interview with The Wrap.

Kripke added, “They’ve been nothing but supportive, and they’re giving us our opportunities. But it’s a business and we also have to deliver. So hopefully the audience shows up.”

Kripke teased that Gen V could even continue beyond The Boys, which is set to end with the upcoming season.

“Without spoiling anything, I think the universe post-The Boys Season 5 is such a fascinating universe, there’s a lot to explore,” he said. “It’s so much more of the wild west in terms of, like, f–king anything goes — without giving anything away. And I think that would be a blast to put the Gen V kids in the middle of.”
