When is Omarion Hampton coming back? Latest injury update on Chargers RB

3 hours ago 2

The Los Angeles Chargers won't have the services of standout rookie running back Omarion Hampton once again in the Week 7 game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Hampton was placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury after Week 5, so he has now missed two games in a row.

Hampton is just the latest injury the Chargers are dealing with at running back, as Najee Harris was lost for the season with a torn Achilles.

In Hampton's stead, the Chargers are turning to Kimani Vidal and Hassan Haskins in the backfield. Vidal had a sensational game in Week 6, which no doubt softened the blow of losing Hampton, at least for one game.

But when can we expect the rookie to be back? Here's what we know

Omarion Hampton injury update

With Hampton having missed two weeks, he'll be forced to miss at least two more games, as players on injured reserve have to be out a minimum of four contests.

So, that means Hampton will be eligible to return in Week 10 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. That said, it remains unclear if Hampton will be able to return when first eligible.

The Chargers have been pegged as a team that could make a trade for a running back, but nothing has happened yet.

We'll see if Los Angeles makes a move in the next few weeks before the trade deadline hits on Nov. 4.
