Donald Trump is set to deliver his first State of the Union address of his second term, directly followed by the Democratic response by Gov. Abigail Spanberger.

Every SOTU speech is important, but this one comes before November’s midterm elections, with Republicans trying to stay in power and Democrats hoping to regain control of the Senate. Thirty-five of the 100 U.S. Senate seats will be up for grabs, and the Dems can retake control with a net gain of four seats.

The White House recently released a video stating that “the State of the Union is STRONG because America is RESPECTED again on the world stage.”
