Liverpool might be sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League standings, but Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has insisted his team will not throw in the towel.
Having finished second to Manchester City in each of the past two seasons, Gunners fans will have hoped to go one better in 2024/25, particularly given the reigning champions' problems with injury and performances. However, they have been left in Liverpool's wake along with everybody else, and the title race already looks close to being run.
Still, Arteta has to hope that his team can stay on the Reds' coattails long enough to capitalise on any possible slip-ups. With a game in hand, and the likes of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli soon to return from injury, Arsenal have at least a glimmer of hope.
Below, The Sporting News runs through the remaining fixture schedules for both sides and has a go at predicting their coming results and the final outcome of this title battle. We'll see how close we got to being right come the end of the season...

When can Liverpool win Premier League?
Liverpool have 70 points from their first 29 games of the season. That means they can finish 2024/25 with a maximum possible total of 97 points. Their nearest challengers, Arsenal, can reach 85 points if they win all of their remaining 10 matches.
That means Liverpool will be crowned champions if they accrue 16 more points, regardless of the performances of any other team. Of course, if their challengers fall further away, they will need fewer than those 16 points to win the title.
If Arsenal can reduce the gap to nine points or fewer, we'll be in for a sensational matchday 36, when Liverpool could win the title by beating the Gunners at Anfield on May 10.
