‘Tis the season to lament the season the Giants are having.
Their eighth consecutive loss was different only because the opponent came in with its own eight-game losing streak. In past weeks, the Giants could at least look across the field and think “Well, that team is clearly better than us, just look at the NFL standings.’’ That should not have been the case in Sunday’s 29-21 loss to the Commanders. But it was. This was the only game of the week with no playoff implications for either side.
