The SMU Mustangs men's basketball team get a spotlight all to themselves to open the NCAA Tournament.

The school was founded in 1911 by the Methodist Episcopal Church, South. That's now part of the United Methodist Church.

SMU is located in Dallas, Texas.

Its base is technically in University Park, but it's not far from downtown Dallas.
