After a dismal Week 1 loss to the 49ers in Australia, the Rams are hoping their stateside opener is the real start of what was supposed to be a dream season.
L.A. went from Super Bowl favorite to reeling after losing both the game itself and star pass-rusher Myles Garrett for at least four weeks due to knee surgery, but the Rams still have every belief that they can reach their lofty goals this season. The Giants arrive in Southern California fresh off a Week 1 win under the lights against the division-rival Cowboys. John Harbaugh's team looked rejuvenated in his first game on the sideline, and Jaxson Dart appeared to be comfortable in the new offense from the very first snap.
There is no doubt the Rams still have plenty of talent on the field even without Garrett, but if they were expecting the Giants to simply be a speedbump on their early-season schedule, they might have to be more careful than they were anticipating.
