The 2026 Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest is back with a familiar face at the head of the table.
Sixteen-time Mustard Belt winner Joey Chestnut returns to defend his title after winning the men's competition in 2025 with 70.5 hot dogs and buns — his first contest back following a year-long ban for signing a sponsorship deal with vegan food producer Impossible Foods. He will once again be the overwhelming favorite to win the men's title.
On the women's side, 11-time champion Miki Sudo is also participating to add to her trophy case. Other contestants include 2024 men's winner Patrick Bertoletti, as well as Geoffrey Esper, James Webb and Nick Wehry.

Broadcast coverage of the 2026 Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest will air live on ESPN2 and ABC with Jeremy Schaap, Rich Shea and Marion Crowder on the call. The women's competition will stream on ESPN+, which is available via the ESPN app.
