What Time Does ‘Task’ Episode 7 Come Out?

Last week’s Task was so brutal, you might have found yourself wondering if it was meant to be the end of the HBO crime series. After all, two beloved characters, on either side of the law, met their untimely ends, and Task Episode 6 ends with a bittersweet twist.

Task Episode 6 “Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a river” ends with the reveal that the now dead Robbie Prendergrast (Tom Pelphrey) may have gotten the last laugh on the Dark Hearts. The bag of drug money that Jayson Wilkes (Sam Keeley) and Perry Dorazo (Jamie McShane) killed him for was full of travel pamphlets. The real cash was split between abused wife and mother Shelley (Mickey Sumner) and Robbie’s niece Maeve (Emilia Jones).

Task star Tom Pelphrey told DECIDER that Robbie began to realize that his only way out was through sacrificing himself back when a man asks about little Sam (Ben Doherty) at the truck depot.

“Sam gets out of the car and he’s returning the fish in the lake and then the guy sees him and Robby loses his temper,” Pelphrey said. “Like I think up until that point, he’d been able to tell himself that he had things kind of under control. And I think losing control like that and like getting so close to blowing the whole thing, makes him start to realize that this plan is shaky at best….and I might need a Plan B.” 

Robbie’s Plan B might have worked, but other characters in Task are still puzzling their way through their own problems. FBI Agent Tom Brandis (Mark Ruffalo) knows that Anthony Grasso (Fabien Frankel) was the Dark Hearts’ mole in his task force, and Grasso knows his time is up. Elsewhere, Jayson still hasn’t learned that his wife Eryn (Margarita Levieva) is dead or that his mentor Perry is the one who killed her. Finally, there are the questions of what Maeve will do with that money, what will happen with Tom’s family, and how anyone in Task can have a happy ending.
