Thanks to HBO’s new comedy, Rooster, the Sunday Scaries are a lot more manageable. Are we still dreading work on Mondays? You know it! But seeing Steve Carell be hilarious and heartfelt on our TV screens again is good for the soul.
The premiere of Bill Lawrence and Matt Tarses’ new college campus comedy saw the bestselling author head to Ludlow College to speak to students and check in on his daughter Katie (Charly Clive), a professor whose husband Archie (Phil Dunster) cheated on her with a grad student named Sunny (Lauren Tsai). While Greg initially planned to head back to Florida after his visit, Episode 2 saw him accept a job at the school until the end of semester. And Episode 3 shows him diving into the academic world.
The official synopsis for Rooster Episode 3, “White Whale,” is as follows: “While Greg endures his first day of teaching at Ludlow, Katie struggles with her suspension. Later, Archie decides to help Sunny find a suitable advisor, and Dylan is presented with an unexpected new opportunity.”
