Travis Kelce’s Ex Kayla Nicole Volunteers to Be the Bachelorette After Taylor Frankie Paul Drama
Taylor Frankie Paul is turning to music amid tough times.
More than a week after her season of The Bachelorette was pulled from ABC’s schedule over the release of a 2023 video showing an altercation between her and ex Dakota Mortensen, the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star offered fans a glimpse at how she’s staying busy.
In a video posted on Instagram March 29, Taylor, 31, wore a gray hoodie and blue sweatpants as she flaunted her piano chops, performing Kanye West’s “Runaway” on a keyboard.
“I learned this today for no reason,” she wrote alongside the post. “I think I have a real future in piano.”
Meanwhile, Taylor’s past continues to resurface. On top of the fallout from the 2023 incident—which led to the reality star to plead guilty in abeyance to aggravated assault—authorities in Utah confirmed earlier this month they are investigating a separate domestic assault case involving Taylor and Dakota, 33, over a February dispute. Amid the allegations, which police told People were made “in both directions,” result, production on SLOMW season five was paused.
Additionally, a third alleged domestic violence incident between the former couple—who are parents to 2-year-old son Ever—is also under investigation, a West Jordan Police Department spokesperson told NBC News March 24, noting that the matter stems from an alleged 2024 encounter which they said Dakota brought to the police’s attention in February.

In response to the Bachelorette cancellation, Taylor’s rep told E! News she was “grateful” for the network’s support “as she prioritizes her family’s safety and security,” while Dakota told E! News in a separate statement that he was “focusing on our son and his safety, and [hopes] that Taylor will do the same.”
While Taylor’s legal matters unfold, the future of the Bachelor franchise remains unclear. In fact, former Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay recently shared her thoughts on the current state of the long-running TV staple.
“It's tainted,” Rachel said during the March 26 episode of E!'s Hot Goss with Eyal Booker and Lonnie Marts. “I'm very logical and I keep trying to figure out, ‘How can you move around this?’”
“I'm sure they'll find a way, they are a business,” she continued, but cautioned that from her perspective, “I cannot see a road forward with the franchise.”

Later, Taylor could be heard yelling, “Get away from my daughter.”
