What’s behind the ‘confidence’ in the Mets rotation — if they add to it or not

Plenty of intriguing-to-excellent starting pitchers have signed or been traded this winter, and the Mets have yet to upgrade a rotation whose collapse prompted their overall collapse last season.

There is still time — and a supply, if heavier on the trade market than free agency — for the Mets to act, and they likely now will look more aggressively after Kyle Tucker chose to sign with the Dodgers on Thursday night.
