What NFL teams are 0-3? Updated standings for Week 3 with Chiefs, Bears in danger

1 hour ago 2

The 2025 NFL season is in full swing, and contenders are firmly separating themselves from the pretenders.

Among the teams that have left more to be desired is a group of winless teams that have started the season out on a bad note. Starting 0-2 is one thing, but a 0-3 start to the season has proven to be one of the most difficult to climb out of.

The Miami Dolphins were the first to fall to 0-3 on the season, losing on "Thursday Night Football" to open Week 3. On Sunday, nine more teams will look to avoid a winless start through three weeks, and a pair of 0-2 teams close out the Sunday slate with the Kansas City Chiefs visiting the New York Giants on "Sunday Night Football."

Here is a complete list of teams that have started the 2025 season with a 0-3 record.

What NFL teams are 0-3?

Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins' season began with a 33-8 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1, followed by a six-point loss to the New England Patriots in Week 2. Miami fell to 0-3 with a 31-21 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 3, making them the first to fall into the hole.

Carolina Panthers

Carolina's season began with a loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars and continued with a failed comeback attempt against the Arizona Cardinals. A meeting with the Atlanta Falcons in Week 3 is the next test awaiting the Panthers.

Chicago Bears

Things have not been great for the Bears, as their season began with a blown lead against the Minnesota Vikings. In Week 2, Chicago was blown out by the Detroit Lions, prompting the team to search for answers. Week 3 is another test as the Bears will travel to face the Dallas Cowboys.

Cleveland Browns

The Browns' hard-fought Week 1 loss was followed by a blowout in Week 2. Their tough schedule continues in Week 3 as they take on a Super Bowl contender in the Green Bay Packers.

Houston Texans

It's looking rough for the two-time defending AFC South champions, who have dropped their first two games of the season with one-score losses to the Los Angeles Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Houston opens divisional play in Week 3 against the Jaguars.

Kansas City Chiefs

The three-time reigning AFC champions have surprisingly fallen into a 0-2 hole, which is partly a tribute to a difficult schedule. After losing to the Los Angeles Chargers in Brazil to open the season, the Chiefs lost a Week 2 Super Bowl rematch to the Philadelphia Eagles. They'll stay in the NFC East with a primetime visit to the New York Giants in Week 3.

New Orleans Saints

Expectations for New Orleans weren't high to begin with, and it has fallen to 0-2 with losses to the Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers. They now travel to visit the Seattle Seahawks in Week 3, giving them a chance to right their wrongs against the NFC West.

New York Giants

The Giants have put up a fight this season, but an overtime loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2 preceded a tough Week 3 matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs. To avoid 0-3, they'll have their work cut out.

New York Jets

New York lost in tough fashion in Week 1 before being blown out in Week 2. With QB Justin Fields in the concussion protocol, the Jets may not have enough to get past the Buccaneers in Week 3.

Tennessee Titans

No. 1 pick Cam Ward has shown promise, but it hasn't resulted in wins for the Titans yet. Tennessee has faced tough opponents to open the year, losing to the Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Rams, and now must beat the Indianapolis Colts to avoid 0-3.
