Lamar Jackson enjoyed a dazzling start to the Ravens' Week 4 tilt against the Titans, completing 12 of his first 13 passes while twice finding the end zone to push Baltimore out in front.

He had to settle for a spot on the sidelines at the start of the third quarter, however. Jesse Minter handed the reins of the Ravens offense to backup Tyler Huntley after Jackson was cut down by an ankle injury at the end of the first half.

Details regarding Jackson's condition are sparse at the moment. Here's what we know so far about Jackson's latest injury issue, as well as how it could affect his season going forward.

What happened to Lamar Jackson?

Jackson gave way to Huntley at the start of the third quarter. The Ravens designated their star player as questionable to return with an ankle injury.

It's unclear quite when Jackson suffered the issue. Jermaine Johnson sacked him on the second to last play of the first half, clipping his ankle to send him to the turf.

Jackson disappeared into the locker room before the second quarter ended, per The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec. Huntley was seen fielding snaps from makeshift center Vega Ioane prior to getting the nod for the second half.

Jackson has some prior history with ankle injuries, having missed six games with an ankle sprain back in 2022. Zrebiec reported that Jackson is standing on the sideline in a winter beanie and no helmet on. That would appear to indicate that he could be gearing up for a lengthy spell on the sideline — assuming Huntley and Co. can maintain its advantage in the second half.
