On Christmas Day 2025, the content creation, streaming, and media side of FaZe Clan crumbled down in hours, with a majority of the group's core streamers leaving the organization, as they announced their departures on X. Signs of issues were initially noticed after members of the Clan, including Jasontheween, Stable Ronaldo, Silky, Adapt, and Lacy stopped streaming during the "FaZemas" event.

FaZemas is an annual event celebrated by members of FaZe Clan in the spirit of the Holiday Season. Typically, fans expect consistent streams and content from the group, but in 2025, a majority of the members abruptly stopped going live.

These breaks lasted over four days for some members, and at around the same time, on December 23, claims about the Clan's Los Angeles content house being listed for rent surfaced online. This led some to speculate that "the end of LA FaZe content" was nearing.

Two days later, Stable Ronaldo announced that he "left FaZe Clan."

December 25, 2025: FaZe Clan members' mass exodus following Stable Ronaldo's tweet

On December 25, after Rani "Stable Ronaldo" shared a short message on X announcing his departure from the Clan, his fellow teammates, namely, Jason "Jasontheween," Nick "Lacy," Jerry "Silky," and Alexander "Adapt," followed suit, sharing similar, short, exit posts.

The only exception was Adapt, who added a heartfelt message, considering he has been recognized as part of the organization since 2011:

"Left @FaZeClan 14 Years. Over half of my life, I’d be lying if I said this didn’t hurt, but it had to be done. Thank you to everyone who’s been a part of this journey, the best is yet to come."

While some initially guessed that this exodus was part of a ploy to reveal or generate hype for a streaming event, others claimed that these departures were legitimate and that the abrupt exits were due to contract-related conflicts. Some suggested that the corporate side of FaZe Clan bumped their requirements to 20% of the members' revenue. This theory was later echoed by Kick's Adin Ross.

Overall, as of this writing, Kaysan, YourRAGE, and Rug seem to be the only members who have not announced their departure.

December 25, 2025: Plaqueboymax reacts to the news and shares some behind-the-scenes details

Soon after the announcements were posted on X, former FaZe Clan member "Max" Plaqueboymax went live on Twitch in a short stream to discuss the drama and his personal experiences with the Clan that ultimately led to his departure in mid 2025.

In his stream, Max pointed out an incident from early 2025 where Lacy was supposedly "kicked" from FaZe Clan. At the time, news of this incident was chalked up to rumors. In his latest stream, Max confirmed that Lacy was actually removed from the organization for a brief period following the latter's absence at a video shoot:

"Y'all remember when Lacy got kicked from FaZe? He really got kicked from FaZe. He got kicked from FaZe because, according to the assistants and the staff, and the cameraman, they said that he had missed a video shoot or something, and we were missing video shoots. So, he actually got kicked from FaZe. Granted, he was allowed back in, what's it called, later, because n***** all have convos. But, yes, he got kicked from FaZe."

Overall, Plaqueboymax used this example to highlight the lack of control streamers within the Clan have over their own careers. This, as he stated in the stream, was a primary driver behind his own decision to leave the Clan.

December 26, 2025: Banks releases his statement

Following the MLG coin controversy in July 2025, Banks announced that he would be stepping down as FaZe Clan's CEO and would be disassociating himself from FaZe.

Now, five months later, netizens seemed to assume that the former CEO had been involved in the mass exodus of streamers from the Clan. To clarify, he initially shared a post on X, denying any involvement:

"I have nothing to do with what’s going at FaZe Clan right now. I left 4 months ago and have moved on with my life. Unfortunate to see, wishing everyone involved the best. If there’s anything I can do to help, I’m here. Nobody loves FaZe more than me."

About five hours later, he expanded in an emotionally charged, 12-minute video, where he voiced his "frustration" against the streamers who left the Clan. He started expressing his feelings after noting that Plaqueboymax played a "laugh track" over his reaction to Banks' original response to the Christmas Day departures.

He later went on to claim that the Clan's former streamers were "fake" and "incredibly ungrateful" with "insane egos" and that signing the creators was one of the worst decisions of his life:

"I just watched some clips from this Plaqueboymax stream, where he's playing a laugh track over my tweet, and it's like, Max, I know we've had, like, our individual differences, and I know I haven't really seen eye-to-eye with a lot of the talent, because truthfully and honestly, I find you guys all to be incredibly ungrateful. I find you guys to have insane egos. And I think it's disgusting. It makes me sick to my stomach that you guys' relationship with each other, with every other streamer, and you community included, is so incredibly fake. You guys are the best actors on planet Earth, and you've made a complete career out of all of it."

He went on to claim that, in reality, FaZe Clan's members did not like each other and suggested that there was internal tension between the group members.

December 26, 2025: Adin Ross goes live and explains what he knows of the situation

Kick's Adin Ross, who has collaborated with FaZe Clan's Lacy in the past, touched on the matter and claimed that issues with contract terms sparked the beginning of the exodus:

"[The streamers] are using FaZe's foundation, their money, to buy stuff for shoots, brand deals, like FaZe has been doing, right? It's a corporate business... They never signed that 20% initially; they came after them a year and a half later and then asked for the 20%, that is where I think that that's in the wrong... If you're intention was to sign these guys for 20%... they probably would have all done it, now you waited until they're big... why would they sign a contract?"

He also suggested that a Moon Pay deal he made before the Clan's 2024 reebot saved the organization:

"FaZe was in the f**king gutter... I saved FaZe at one point. Why? I did a Moon Pay deal, and that funded FaZe to help them stay up."

In other news, Valkyrae stated that the former FaZe members would come together to form their own group.
