Les Claypool is going all out this summer.

The alt-rocker recently announced his ‘Claypool Gold Tour’ that will feature music from his groups Primus, Claypool Lennon Delirium and The Frog Brigade.

“Each night, all three bands will share the stage all at once for a fluid show featuring wildly different set lists and surprises,” he shared via Instagram.

While on the road, the 62-year-old “Pork Soda” singer is scheduled to make a pair of New York and New Jersey stops.

First up, Primus, Claypool Lennon Delirium and The Frog Brigade hit Saratoga Springs’ Saratoga Performing Arts Center on Friday, June 12.

24 hours later, they’ll swing into Asbury Park, NJ’s Stone Pony on Saturday, June 13.

If you’d like to see them live, tickets are available for all 30 ‘Claypool Gold’ summer 2026 North American concerts.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find for any one show on the primary and secondary market was $37.85 including fees on Ticketmaster.

Prices start at $40.50 including fees on Ticketmaster for the Saratoga Springs gig.

Although we can’t predict exactly how these freewheeling shows will shake out, Claypool will likely include material from his forthcoming Claypool Lennon Delirium two-LP concept album “The Great Parrot Ox and The Golden Egg of Empathy” with Sean Ono Lennon.

Thus far, all that’s been released is the strummy lead single “WAP.”

Tumblr user Krispy Weiss calls the song “an unapologetically Beatlesque number with Les Claypool’s bass grounding the sound in Primusian rhythm…[they] have stumbled onto a perfect balance of [their] imperfect, impossibly eclectic, parts. It’s an important message wrapped in a whole bunch of fun.”

About Les Claypool’s bands

Primus is Claypool’s primary group and known for unconventional, distorted jangly metal tunes like “Jerry Was A Race Car Driver,” “My Name Is Mud” and “John The Fisherman” as well as the indelible “South Park” theme song.

The Frog Brigade was formed in May 2000 when Claypool was asked to together a band for a festival in Angels Camp, CA. They’re a bit jammier, slightly more light-hearted and cover acts like The Beatles, King Crimson and Pink Floyd.

Claypool Lennon Delirium brings together Claypool and Sean Lennon, whom he calls “a musical mutant after my own heart. He definitely reflects his genetics – not just the sensibilities of his dad, but also the abstract perspective and unique approach of his mother. It makes for a glorious freak stew.” Together, they’ve released a pair of excellent if avant-garde albums.

Les Claypool new music

As noted above, the Claypool Lennon Delirium unveiled the single “WAP (What A Predicament)” on Jan. 20.

At the 30-second mark, the fuzzed-out track spirals into overdrive before finding steady footing in ’60s bubblegum-psych that, yes, evokes Sean’s father.

Throw in the socially-conscious yet subtle message (the “what a predicament you’ve got yourselves in” refrain hits hard) with a dash of trippy scuzziness and you’ve got yourself a full-on bop that’s worthy of repeat play.

To hear for yourself, you can find “WAP” here.
