The SEC occupies eight of the top 10 spots in the latest D1 Baseball Rankings, and two of those teams meet this weekend when No. 7 LSU takes on No. 10 Oklahoma in a three-game series.

The Tigers (27-3) have won five consecutive games since losing back-to-back contests to No. 5 Texas. Slugging first baseman Jared Jones has homered in each of his last two games, bringing his season home run total to a team-best 11.

UC San Diego transfer Anthony Eyanson is coming off arguably his best start with the Tigers, striking out 12 batters in last Saturday's win over Mississippi State. He forms a tantalizing duo alongside Kade Anderson atop the rotation.

The Sooners (23-5) hit their first SEC speedbump last weekend, dropping a series to No. 8 Alabama. But Oklahoma rebounded with a victory over Texas Tech on Tuesday.

Ace Kyson Witherspoon has a 2.31 ERA with 64 strikeouts in 39 innings, though he's coming off his worst start of the young season. He'll look to tame LSU's potent lineup.
