Missouri has one final tune-up before diving into the grind of SEC play.
The Tigers will welcome the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns to Columbia on Saturday, Sept. 13, marking the first-ever meeting between the two programs. It’s the last dress rehearsal before the curtain rises on their SEC opener against South Carolina.
Fresh off a hard-fought victory over rival Kansas, Missouri rides into the matchup with plenty of energy. The Tigers took a few lumps early, falling behind 21-6 in the opening quarter, but they counterpunched in style.
By the final whistle, they had piled up 595 total yards, 28 first downs, and controlled the clock. Quarterback Beau Pribula carved out 334 yards through the air, while Jamal Roberts bulldozed his way to 143 yards on the ground.
Through two contests, the Tigers’ backfield has been a two-headed hammer. Louisiana-Monroe transfer Ahmad Hardy has churned out 212 yards and two touchdowns on 35 carries, while Roberts has gashed defenses for 176 yards on just 21 touches.
On the outside, Kevin Coleman—now suiting up for his fourth program in four years—has quickly become a go-to target, snagging 16 passes for 174 yards and a score.
