A classic border war will rekindle in Lawrence this weekend as Kansas hosts Missouri for a Week 2 rivalry matchup.
This weekend will mark the 122nd border showdown between these two programs, but the first played at Kansas Memorial Stadium in 21 years. The Jayhawks will be looking for revenge on home turf after losing 42-31 to the Tigers last season — in which the schools renewed the border war after a 14-year hiatus.
Missouri will look to maintain dominance on the road, though they've not had as much luck playing in Lawrence. The Tigers started off the 2026 season with a dominant win over Arkansas Pine-Bluff, 54-14. Quarterback Austin Simmons had a strong first start, throwing for 252 yards and two touchdowns.
