The semifinals have arrived at the 2026 World Baseball Classic, with just one game remaining after this round. Some of baseball's top stars, both in and out of MLB, have been on display throughout the tournament — and now, on Monday night, Venezuela and Italy will meet for a trip to the title game.
Venezuela dethroned Japan with an 8-5 win on Saturday, riding hot bats to an upset that ensures the World Baseball Classic will have a new champion. They will meet the darling of the tournament, Italy, after the Italian team remained perfect by holding off a Puerto Rico comeback in the quarterfinals.
