There was a period where championship hopes looked incredibly rocky in Detroit. However, after three straight wins against the Magic on the brink of death, the Pistons are rolling.

The winning streak has now continued to five games after taking the first two from Cleveland, each by 10 points. In typical Pistons fashion, Cade Cunningham led the way in Game 2 with 25 points and 10 assists. Daniss Jenkins also continues to be a valuable force as a reserve, with 14 points to boot.

For the Cavs, after a back-and-forth seven-game series with the Raptors, they have been unable to keep up with Detroit. Donovan Mitchell had the best overall scoring performance in Game 2, dropping 31 on 11-24 shooting, but struggled at just 2-9 from beyond the arc.

For the Cavs to turn it around, they'll need to have better shot selection. Mitchell has the primary target all night, meaning he took a handful of difficult looks. James Harden was in a similar boat, going just 3-13 from the floor and 0-4 from three.

For the Pistons, the objective is to keep their foot on the gas and rely on their scoring depth. Four players took at least 12 shots and each of them made at least six. Of these, only Daniss Jenkins had a shooting percentage below .500, making six of 14 shots.
