It was an evening made for hot topics!
Wendy Williams shut the carpet down at LaQuan Smith’s fashion show at the Classic Car Club in New York on Tuesday night before hanging with hip hop superstars old and new.
The talk show queen — who’s living in an assisted living facility against her will — arrived to the show with her bodyguard, pal Max Tucci, niece Alex Finne and Finne’s fiance Eric Houston. The crowd was excited to see her, but the highlight of the night was reuniting with rapper Lil Kim.
Cameras caught the reunion with Williams — who has a long history in the hip hop world as a radio host — telling the rapper, “We’re gonna stay in touch. I love you!”
“Listen, give a telephone number to give to him,” Williams told Kim, gesturing to her bodyguard.
Inside, Williams made her way to her seat to much fanfare. A spy told Page Six, “Wendy was the last to sit. People were shouting, ‘We love you Wendy!’ They gave her a thunderous ovation.”
After the show, she went to the greenroom, where she met rap star of the moment, Ice Spice, who was taking photos with her personal photographer. “Ice said, ‘I’m Ice.’ Wendy said, ‘I’m Wendy,’ and Ice said, ‘I know!’ They were cute together,” an insider said.
Williams’ got TV glam for her big night out at Fashion Week, a first since she’s been under guardianship over the past few years. Sources told us she has minimal access to her things – including her wigs – since everything is in storage.
Meanwhile, People magazine reports that Williams will be deposed in a Lifetime documentary lawsuit that her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, filed against the netwrok in 2024. The deposition will take place on Nov. 4, according to the outlet.
Williams is in the midst of legal action to get herself released from the guardianship, which has her living in Hudson Yards facility she calls “a luxury prison.”
