Former Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman Jr. signed with the Buffalo Bills and joined their practice squad on Monday. He inked a one-year deal with the Green Bay Packers in March but was released from their practice squad in August.

Since Buffalo is Kansas City’s biggest AFC rivals, Taylor Swift's fans were not happy and shared their reactions. One fan posted an old photo of Swift and Hardman's wife, Chariah Gordon, on X.

“We lost Chariah forever now,” the fan tweeted.

"She is in enemy territory," a fan wrote. "They are so cruel for taking away Taylor’s WAG BFF like that," another fan wrote. "Boo. This sucks," a fan said. "Not the enemy team," one fan commented. "I wonder if they are still friends? I hope so," a fan tweeted.

Gordon and Swift were together at Chiefs games during the 2023 season. They also attended Patrick Mahomes’ birthday party in September 2024.

When Hardman joined the Packers, Gordon shared how sad she was to leave her Chiefs friends circle. She added crying and broken heart emojis to pictures of her and Swift.

“I’m really going to miss y’all," Gordon wrote on Instagram.

Hardman and Gordon have two children together. The couple got engaged in June 2024 after they welcomed their second child.

Gordon went into labor during the 2023 Super Bowl, and Hardman watched the Kansas City win from the hospital.

"Welcoming our healthy baby boy together in this world while watching the Chiefs win the Super Bowl!! Could not be any Happier! A father and now a 2x Super Bowl Champ! Thanks to everyone for the prayers and support ❤️🥂⭐️🎈,” Hardman wrote on Instagram in February 2023.

Hardman was drafted by the Chiefs at No. 56 in 2019. He played for the team from 2019 to 2022 and returned briefly in 2023.
