After being postponed this summer, the year’s weirdest fight is almost here.
On Friday, Nov. 15, 58-year-old Mike Tyson will dominate enter the ring against 27-year-old influencer turned boxer Jake Paul at Arlington, TX’s AT&T Stadium.
“New date, but everything else stays the same,” the 27-year-old Paul shared on Instagram this past June. “The baddest man on the planet vs the biggest disruptor in boxing. 6 generations have a stake in this fight.”
“While we have a new date, the result will be the same no matter when we fight. Jake Paul is getting knocked out,” Tyson said in a statement.
This Most Valuable Promotions fight, which is set to air on Netflix, will be Tyson’s first official bout in 19 years — he faced off against Kevin McBride in June 2005 — and also holds the distinction of having the biggest age gap between competitors in the history of professional boxing.
Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano are facing off in a rematch for the Super Lightweight title that Taylor currently holds in the evening’s co-main event.
Other battles on the card include a Welterweight match between Mario Barrios and Abel Ramos and Neeraj Goyat vs. Whindersson Nunes’ Super Middleweight showdown.
If you want to be there to witness all the action live, last-minute tickets are quite reasonably priced.
At the time of publication, we found seats going for as low as $58 before fees on Vivid Seats.
100-level seats can be snagged for $163 before fees.
That’s especially impressive considering prices started at $211 before fees when the New York Post first reported on the Tyson/Paul fight when it was first announced back in March.
