Jacy Jayne opened up about the advice she has received from Shawn Michaels in the early stages of her career. Jayne is the reigning NXT Women's Champion and is top of the division.

Jayne became a two-time NXT Women's Champion by dethroning Tatum Paxley at NXT Gold Rush. She is also the leader of the Fatal Influence faction, a group that already consists of Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid.

Speaking on The Takedown on SI, Jayne recalled the advice she got from Shawn Michaels early on in her career.

"I remember him saying, 'If you want to get to the top, people like you and me, we can't take days off. It's not fair. It's never going to be fair in this business, but you can't take time off, you have to really focus in on your craft and trust the course and you'll get there,'" said Jayne [H/T: Wrestling Inc]

Jacy Jayne felt that she had to compete at a certain level because of Mandy Rose

During the same interview, Jacy Jayne opened up about working alongside Mandy Rose. The reigning NXT Women's Champion felt that her journey would've been a lot harder if she weren't a member of Toxic Attraction.

Jacy Jayne said:

"I was learning. I was like a sponge just absorbing everything," she explained. "I feel like if I didn't have Toxic Attraction, my journey probably would have been a lot harder. I feel like being with Mandy, it kind of brought me up to a level, like I had to perform at a certain level, it was no like, 'Oh, it was okay.' Like no, 'You have to be main even level because that's where we want to place you right now.' So it was very much sink or swim. But, I learned really fast, and again, adaptability."

Jacy Jayne is feuding with Kendal Grey and will defend the NXT Women's Championship at NXT New Year's Evil.
