Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson appeared as a guest on Thursday's episode of "Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce." As someone who has been in Philadelphia for a long time, Kelce attempted to recruit the WNBA star to play for the city. Early in 2025, the city submitted a bid for an expansion team and was awarded a franchise, which will join the league in 2030.

Given that Wilson is one of the best players in the league, the podcast host tried her best to convince her to join the Philly team. The wife of former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce gave the Aces star some points to urge her to move.

“As a lifelong Philadelphia resident, I did also talk to Dawn [Staley] about the WNBA team in Philly, which we are of course getting, 2023,” Kelce said (Timestamp: 26:00). “I have five years to do this, but I’m gonna start right now. How can I recruit you to Philadelphia? “The city is beautiful, that’s always a plus,” Wilson answered. “Let me get the wheels turning a little bit. We can like maybe reconsider some things. It’s a fight with Vegas, though. Good luck with that.

Kelce said that the food scene in Philly is great. She also emphasized how fervent sports fans are. The media personality also tried to lure Wilson by using the Eagles' gear.

“I will revisit this topic, I’m going to see if I can’t connect with Dawn on this. We could get you in an Eagles jersey.”

A'ja Wilson is set to be an unrestricted free agent next year. But with the recent success that the Aces have had, it might be difficult to pry her away from the franchise.

A'ja Wilson spills hilarious BTS of Aces Championship Parade

A'ja Wilson was in the spotlight after the Aces won the championship against the Phoenix Mercury in October. In front of the media, Wilson couldn't contain herself and was a bit messy, a moment that went viral. During her appearance on Kelce's show, she gave the scoop on what happened.

According to the four-time MVP, she wanted to stay cool and be composed. However, the events that followed did not fulfill her plans.

“This one, I said, ‘Alright, let me tighten up.’ But my eyes were not saying that,” Wilson said (Timestamp: 30:46).

Her co-star, Chelsea Gray, advised her to put on her goggles whenever no one was talking to her. Wilson agreed with Gray and thought it was a great idea.

“In my mind, I was like, ‘When I put these goggles on, they do not see me.’ The camera was supposed to pan to someone else. But it didn’t. It stayed on me.”

A'ja Wilson's postgame moment in the Finals has now become iconic. Kelce even said that she wants to see the WNBA star have a more viral moment if she wins a fourth title.
