“We all want to win together” - Masaaki Noiri motivated by unified team goal at ONE 173 with Team Vasileus

ONE interim featherweight kickboxing world champion Masaaki Noiri of Japan is looking to make history next weekend when he meets reigning divisional titleholder Superbon for the chance to be crowned the undisputed king.

But more than just mere gold and glory, Noiri wants to honor his country first and foremost, as well as his teammates at Team Vasileus, who are also set to see action.

In a recent interview with ONE Championship, Noiri talked about the camaraderie at Team Vasileus and how they all want each other to succeed.

The 32-year-old told the world’s largest martial arts organization:

“This team truly is a family, and we all want to win together. We’re all top fighters who have gathered under one banner as teammates. At the same time, we are also competing with each other.”

Noiri added:

“The camaraderie and positive spirit of competition enable us to push each other to improve while also showing up day in and day out to support each other.”

Noiri and his teammates, ‘Natural Born Krusher’ Takeru Segawa and Yuki Yoza, are all set to make appearances at ONE Championship’s massive Tokyo card next weekend.

Japanese kickboxing star and former K-1 champion Masaaki Noiri faces off against Superbon when the two meet in the main event of ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri, which will go down live on Sunday, Nov. 16, from Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.

The winner will become the undisputed ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion.
