A wayward Waymo wildly crashed into several parked cars while careening downhill in Echo Park – narrowly missing mowing down two bystanders, video shows.
The Sunday morning smash-up happened around 11 a.m. on Lilac Place near Dodger Stadium, with doorbell cam showing the vehicle – which was being driven manually – speeding down the steep, narrow street and sideswiping several cars along the way, KTLA reported.

The crash happened around 11 a.m. Tuesday in Echo Park near Dodger Stadium. Jorge DonantonioJorge Donantonio’s mother and brother were outside at the time – and in harm’s way.
“My brother was able to push my mom out of the way before the car,” he said. “Luckily, they’re OK.”
Donantonio said his neighbor’s car was struck, as well as his mother’s.
“You can see from the video — the Waymo lost control down the street and it just happened to hit my mama’s car,” he told the network.
No riders were inside the Waymo at the time of the crash.
The car was being driven manually by a specialist, the company told KTLA.
He was not injured.
“The gentleman — it was a Waymo engineering car — so they went over to check on him. He was OK,” Donantonio said. “They checked [my mother] out too. She was OK — high blood pressure, little stuff like that — but totally fine.”
Donantonio said his one-way street is used to traffic from Dodger Stadium events – and that Waymos have crashed there before.
