Week 3 of the NFL season featured plenty of excitement, and it wasn't just contained to games on American soil.
The Baltimore Ravens beat the Dallas Cowboys 34-31 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with the two teams giving the Brazilian fans a classic battle. The back-and-forth contest came down to the wire and was, literally, decided in the final seconds.
It seemed like the game was headed to overtime, but the Ravens offense played until the end of regulation, and it paid off. The Cowboys defense, meanwhile, once again had a lowlight that cost the team a possible victory.
Here's how the Ravens squeaked out a win.

How the Ravens beat the Cowboys in Brazil
The ending of the NFL's Rio de Janeiro game was chaotic, but resulted in a Baltimore win. The Ravens initially took a three-point lead with about 90 seconds left on the clock with a Lamar Jackson touchdown to Matt Hibner, but the Cowboys had plenty of time to try and score themsleves.
Dallas was able to move the ball through the air fairly easily as Dak Prescott found a few of his receivers for big gains. However, the biggest play of that drive was a controversial defensive pass interference call on Nate Wiggins, even though it appeared that CeeDee Lamb was the one who initiated contact.

— Underdog NFL (@UnderdogNFL) September 27, 2026Still, the Cowboys tried to punch the ball into the endzone, but they were unsuccessful with the Ravens defense holding firm and keeping Dallas to a field goal.
When Brandon Aubry kicked the ball through the uprights, there were just 10 seconds left in the game. The ensuing kickoff then decreased the time to just seven seconds, and since the Ravens got the ball at the 35-yard-line, it seemed like this game was headed to overtime.
That was until Lamar Jackson found Zay Flowers in the open field, with Flowers getting down just before the clock expired on regulation. The referees determined that Jackson called timeout with one second left on the clock.
