Stephen Curry never ceases to amaze.
The Golden State Warriors won for a lot of reasons on Tuesday night in their season opener against the Los Angeles Lakers. Jimmy Butler, Jonathan Kuminga and Buddy Hield were all great.
But this universe still revolves around Curry. And in the closing stages, he showed everyone just how true that really is.
First, Curry blocked a corner 3-point attempt. Yeah, really. He closed out hard and timed his leap perfectly to get a piece of a shot that ended up well short of the basket.
Then came the more on-brand Curry moment.
With the shot clock winding down, Curry sized up his defender deep on the right wing.
And rather than get a little closer, Curry just let fly on one of those from-his-hip rocket launcher-esque 3-pointers.
Of course he made it.

Steph didn't do the night-night celebration, but that was certainly him saying good night.
Curry finished with 23 points, not his biggest night ever, but he didn't need it. His supporting cast did just that, supporting him en route to a solid win.
The Warriors will have many more nights to witness Steph's greatness. But the NBA as a whole shouldn't take it for granted.
There's no one else like Curry, and there likely never will be. So don't miss him while he's at his best like this.
