The Golden State Warriors appeared to be potential suitors for 3-time All-Star and former 31.3-point scoring guard Bradley Beal, but it was not to be.
Beal agreed to sign a 2-year, $11 million deal with the Los Angeles Clippers following a contract buyout from the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday, ending the Warriors' pursuit and continuing the franchise's underwhelming offseason.
Though the NBA's 2025 free agency class will not be touted as one of the best in league history, Golden State has not performed an addition or transaction of any kind despite involvement in countless offseason rumors.
With Beal heading to the Clippers and free agent guard De'Anthony Melton's potential return yet to be locked down, the Warriors' general manager Mike Dunleavy may be willing to provide an opportunity to a former star shooting guard and 2018 Most Improved Player award winner, Victor Oladipo, as the 33-year-old is reportedly seeking a triumphant NBA comeback.
"The two-time All-Star, 33, was part of a well-attended private workout in Las Vegas on Monday morning, with a large contingent of NBA and European teams attending," ESPN's Jeremy Woo wrote Tuesday.
"Oladipo played full-court five-on-five in a group workout of international pros."

"Multiple team sources in attendance came away impressed, with Oladipo described as being in excellent shape as he pursues another comeback."
As he prepares for what would be his 11th NBA campaign, the former 2-time All-Star and ex-Indiana Pacers guard could plausibly act as a valuable backcourt partner for 4-time NBA champion Stephen Curry in certain packages.
Oladipo earned an All-Defensive First Team nod in 2018 after averaging a league-high 2.4 steals, but a horrific ruptured right quad tendon sidelined the 6-foot-3 leaper for the majority of the 2018-19 season and began a vicious cycle of injuries over the next few years.
The 2018 All-NBA Third Team selection and former DPOY candidate hasn't suited up for an NBA game since 2022-23, but these recent updates have begun to convince the NBA sphere that he's ready for a return.
If Dunleavy continues to strike out on more free agent guards, Oladipo would surely accept the chance to impact winning alongside Curry, Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler in a heartbeat.
At his peak in 2017-18, Oladipo contributed 23.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.3 assists on a 57.7% effective field goal percentage and gained notoriety as one of the best perimeter defenders in the entire league.
