Trade talks surrounding the Charlotte Hornets are heating up ahead of next month's deadline, and franchise mainstay could be on the move.
The Athletic's Sam Amick said Friday that forward Miles Bridges is drawing significant trade interest around the league.
"The Milwaukee Bucks, Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns are all known to be among the interested parties, though it remains to be seen if any team can compel the Hornets to give Bridges up," Amick said.
Bridges is having another strong season, averaging 18.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. He's averaged 18+ points in four straight seasons, dating back to his breakout campaign in 2021-22.

He has played his entire eight-year career with the Hornets and recently moved into third place on the franchise's all-time scoring list. Amick was told by league sources that Charlotte is seeking multiple first-round picks in a Bridges trade.
The Bucks are looking for roster upgrades this trade season after the team's rocky start to the season. Amick said the Bucks have coveted Bridges, but that the Hornets haven't been compelled by Milwaukee's offers so far.
"Charlotte’s lack of interest in the Bucks’ Kyle Kuzma is known to be an obstacle to a potential deal between those two teams. Draft capital is also a pivotal part of the conversation," he said.
One Buck the Hornets have been linked to is veteran forward Bobby Portis. Portis won an NBA Championship in 2021 with Charlotte head coach Charles Lee, who was an assistant coach in Milwaukee from 2018-23.
