Want to live in a real life Barbie Beach House? It’s all yours — if you’re willing to stump up $38.5K a month

You can rent out one of Santa Monica’s most memed homes — a beachfront “Barbie Dreamhouse.”

The vibrant pink and purple spread at 1341 Palisades Beach Road is rarely pictured without its all-black, brutalist next-door neighbor, which couldn’t possibly stand in any more contrast.

Now, the more colorful of the two local landmarks is up for rent, The Post has learned, asking $38,500 per month.

The hilarious differences between the bubbly and bleak facades of No. 1341 and No. 1343 has earned drive-by double-takes, global headlines and multiple viral moments.

Online commentators have dubbed the unlikely duo “Barbie and Voldemort,” or “Barbie’s house and Batman’s bachelor pad.”

They’re so renowned, in fact, that when wildfires raged through the state in January 2025, USA Today published a standalone report titled “Are the famous ‘Barbenheimer’ homes in Santa Monica safe from LA fires? Here’s what we know.”

The black house was formerly owned by the parents of music mogul Scooter Braun, the Los Angeles Times reported, and the pink house hosted a tour with billionaire Mark Cuban when it last went on sale.

These polar opposites were a part of a matching trio, according to the LA Times, when a developer painted the three pastel “Sherbet Homes” in the 1990s.

The house on the far left received a bland brown paint job in 2007, and was later painted all white. Its formerly seafoam-green neighbor adopted an all-black look after selling in 2012. It traded hands again in 2021 for $6.45 million.

The sole, pastel pink survivor of the Sherbert Homes last sold for $5.4 million in 2015, according to Zillow. The owner has no plans of changing its iconic color, a friend and local broker told the LA Times in 2023.

The home hit the rental market various times in 2020 and 2025, but it’s not immediately clear whether past listings found tenants.

The three-bed, three-bath property spans 2,822 square feet. It offers renters fully furnished — and shockingly neutral — interiors. Its three ocean-facing decks are connected by a neon spiral staircase, topping out with a scenic rooftop deck.

The lease is to last for 13 months. Sotheby’s International Realty’s Brentwood Brokerage holds the listing.
