Von Miller's predicted best fit is with former team, but not Broncos

1 hour ago 3

For quite some time now, there has been some chatter about Von Miller returning to the Denver Broncos. Many fans within Broncos Country would like to see it, but most of that noise has been started by Miller himself

Whether the Broncos need Miller or not has been debated by members of the fanbase, but it's hard to argue that the recent situation surrounding Jonathon Cooper doesn't change things

Miller is one of the best players in team history and is performance in Super Bowl 50, which earned him Super Bowl MVP honors, will never be forgotten. But according to Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report, Miller's best free-agent landing spot for 2026 is with the other team he won a Super Bowl with... the Los Angeles Rams

"Von Miller turned 37 in March and wouldn't make a ton of sense for a team like Las Vegas. However, he continues to be an effective rotational pass-rusher, as he showed last season with the Washington Commanders.

Miller played just 37 percent of the defensive snaps in 2025 but managed to log nine sacks, six tackles for loss, and 19 quarterback pressures. He'd be a great addition to a defense that is ready to chase the Super Bowl right now.

According to Miller, he's hoping he can find that perfect fit by returning to the Denver Broncos.

'I lobbied, I do lobby, I lobbied publicly, privately, so I lobbied,'' Miller said, per ESPN's Jeff Legwold.

However, a return to the Los Angeles Rams would make even more sense. Denver has a deep pass-rushing rotation that recorded 68 sacks in 2025. While the Rams traded for Myles Garrett earlier this offseason, they traded away Jared Verse as part of the deal. Adding Miller to the rotation behind Garrett and Byron Young would be very sensible for L.A.", wrote Knox.

The Broncos traded Miller to the Rams ahead of the trade deadline in 2021, bringing his decade-long run with the team to a close. The Rams then won the Super Bowl later that year.

Not only have the Rams traded for Garrett this offseason, but there have been rumors that Aaron Donald is considering a return to the league... and they are gaining steam. Though all of those players are now older, having those three players on the field at the same time could be the greatest collection of defensive talent in NFL history, regardless of age.

Miller proved that he can still do the one thing he does best last season in Washington, doing so in limited action. There should be no doubt that he can still provide that to a team.

If the Rams were to sign him, it would only add to their status as this year's Super Bowl favorite. Because of the uncertainty facing Cooper, the Broncos should beat them to that punch.
