Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk will lead the club again next season after signing a contract extension until 2027at the start of April.
The Netherlands international followed talisman Mohamed Salah by agreeing terms on his expiring contract for another two years as part of a double boost for Arne Slot.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is yet to confirm his plans for the summer, with the England international still weighing up a free transfer move to Real Madrid, with his own deal also expiring in June.
The majority of Liverpool fans are delighted with Salah and Van Dijk, whilst accepting defeat in the club's attempt to retain Alexander-Arnold, as Slot plans for the future.
The Reds boss has been tight-lipped over where he plans to bolster his squad ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League campaign with the former Feyenoord boss hinting he is happy with the majority of his options.

Slot will have a budget to work with, and sales are also planned within his ranks, as Darwin Nunez and Caoimhin Kelleher preparing to move on as the pair have grown frustrated with a lack of prominence at Anfield.
Without given too much away, Van Dijk dropped a massive hint over Slot's plans, with confidence key acquisitions will be secured and earmarked as Slot-type players.
"In my opinion, the story is not yet finished," he told an interview with Dutch outlet AD.
"The club is very ambitious, the plans for this summer sound good. There is still a lot to achieve here. Whatever is going to happen with players coming or leaving, I think this is going to be a very important summer for the club.
"I'm convinced the management see it that way too - and we have to trust they are going to do that in a good way, so we can play for prizes in the coming years."
