Vince McMahon would not have liked John Cena's Last Time is Now Tournament according to a WWE Hall of Famer. On Saturday Night's Main Event last weekend, it was announced that Cena's last opponent will be decided by a tournament.

A field of sixteen wrestlers will compete to determine who gets the honor of facing the 17-time WWE World Champion in his final match. The tournament will kick off next week on RAW in John Cena's hometown of Boston.

While the anticipation is high for the tournament, Hall of Famer Bully Ray isn't on board with the idea. On the Busted Open Podcast, he said he isn't a fan of the tournament and claimed Vince McMahon wouldn't have liked it as well.

"It's so funny, I’m not a fan of the tournament idea. I’d be willing to bet a dollar that if Vince McMahon knew about this tournament, he would be destroying his own home. ‘My god, a f**king tournament?!’ Vince hated tournaments," he said.

Bully Ray said that he doesn't agree with Vince's thoughts on tournaments, but he doesn't see any benefit of it either on this occasion.

"Now, I didn't share Vince's opinion on tournaments, but in this case I'm not a fan of the tournament, unless there is somebody involved in this tournament that we don't see coming," he added.

Bully mentioned that he would have liked to see more anticipation and build up for this, but since they will already see who will compete in it in the first round, it won't add anything. He also said it will do nothing for those who go out in the early rounds.

First two matches set for John Cena Tournament

This week on RAW, Adam Pearce announced the first two matches in the John Cena Last Time is Now Tournament.

Rusev will face Damian Priest next Monday and fans will also see Cena's old rival Sheamus take on Shinsuke Nakamura in another opening round match.

Pearce mentioned that Nick Aldis will announce two more first-round matches this week on SmackDown.
