Vikings WR Justin Jefferson gets wild, but accurate, Hall of Fame projection from ESPN

The Minnesota Vikings don't really have the best team right now, but they do have Justin Jefferson compiling an incredible career at the moment.

With some major uncertainty at the quarterback position, the hope is that Kyler Murray can get Jefferson the ball often as he deserves. But, even with his shaky QB production, Jefferson has already put together a remarkable NFL career.

Heading into 2026, and Jefferson's seventh NFL season, ESPN's Bill Barnwell made an incredibly bold projection that Jefferson is already "on the cusp" of making the Hall of Fame. But, while bold, this projection might be accurate.

"On the cusp: WR Justin Jefferson," Barnwell writes. "... There will be plenty of competition at wide receiver in the years to come, but assuming Jefferson bounces back from an uneven 2025 season with better QB play, he's only another year or two away from earning his plaque."

Jefferson is just 27 years old and heading into his seventh season in the NFL. While he's played for a little while now, it still feels as if there's plenty of career left.

And yet, Jefferson might already be on the cusp of earning a bid to the Hall of Fame. He is a four-time Pro Bowler, former Offensive Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year award-winner, and is a two-time first-team All-Pro.

He's not once gone under 1,000 yards in a season, and in 94 games across the last six years, has caught 579 of 871 targets for 8,480 yard sand 42 touchdowns.

Jefferson has been one of, if not the best, wide receivers in the NFL since his 2020 debut, and he's already well on his way to the Hall of Fame.

As Barnwell projects, he is also likely on the cusp of actually earning a place in the Hall. One more elite season, or two more good years, and Jefferson's case will be very hard to ignore.
