The Minnesota Vikings will reportedly be front and center for some of the NFL’s marquee games during the 2025 regular season.
Per a pair of schedule leaks from insiders Jordan Schultz (FOX Sports) and Ben Goessling (Star Tribune), the Vikings will play the Detroit Lions at Ford Field in their annual Thanksgiving Day game, and will later host Detroit at U.S. Bank Stadium during the NFL’s slate of games on Christmas Day.
The report comes a day after the league announced that the Vikings will play back-to-back games overseas this year, in Ireland (Week 4) and London (Week 5). Minnesota will be the first team in NFL history to play consecutive international games in separate countries.
The NFL will confirm its full 18-week, 272-game schedule on Wednesday night.

What was looking like a special 2024 season for both Detroit and Minnesota went completely off the rails during the NFL playoffs. The Vikings were uncompetitive against Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams, 27-9, in a game that was played at a neutral site in Arizona due to the L.A. wildfires. The Lions, meanwhile, got roasted by Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders, 45-31, in the Divisional Round following their first-round bye.
