Vikings' Kyler Murray video isn't real, but more than 1.1 million people have seen it

Minnesota Vikings fans are surely hoping to see Kyler Murray succeed.

But even though more than 1.1 million people have seen a video going viral on social media on Tuesday, one that suggests it shows Murray throwing a touchdown to Jordan Addison, that's not actually what Vikings fans are seeing.

Many have realized it, of course. There's actually a community note now attached to the post.

It took a while, though -- many thought this was exactly what it was advertised as:

But that's not from this year's OTAs. And it's not Murray.

It's from 2025 training camp, and it's a pass thrown by J.J. McCarthy.

I really don't even want to acknowledge it

But there is a video on here of a J.J. McCarthy throw from last year's training camp, captioned as if it was Kyler Murray at OTAs today, that has over 6K likes in three hours

There will eventually be videos of Murray in the purple and gold that circulate on social media, and the Vikings will hope that the footage is positive.

That above video, though, is clearly not Murray. It's silly that it was advertised as such in the first place, and it's silly that lots of people appear to have fallen for it.

Take a bit longer look next time.
