The Minnesota Vikings, Los Angeles Rams, Denver Broncos and Tennessee Titans all have interest in the same cornerback prospect out of Houston.
That prospect, according to Tony Pauline of Essentially Sports, is Houston corner Latrell McCutchin, who is also drawing interest because of his special teams ability.
Pauline noted that the Vikings were on hand to watch a workout with the Cougars star, and the Rams, Broncos and Titans "have shown strong interest" in him.
"Cornerback Latrell McCutchin Sr. sat on his combine marks, which were much better than expected, then looked outstanding in position drills," Pauline wrote.
"A terrific cornerback, teams are looking at McCutchin as much for his special-teams ability on coverage units," Pauline added. "In fact, the Minnesota Vikings sent their special teams coordinator to the workout. The Los Angeles Rams, Denver Broncos, and Tennessee Titans have shown strong interest in McCutchin."
Latrell McCutchin scouting report
McCutchin's impressive combine showing featured a 4.43 40-yard dash, and he posted the fifth-best Athleticism Score of cornerbacks who took part in the NFL Combine, per Next Gen Stats.
According to Pro Football Focus, McCutchin gave up a completion rate of 51% and a passer rating of 88.4 while posting eight passes defensed in 2025. He also notched a solid coverage grade of 77.5 and flashed in run defense with a mark of 76.5.
Here's more on McCutchin from Lance Zierlein of NFL.com, who noted in his scouting report that McCutchin improved "across the board" last season.
McCutchin is a long boundary corner whose athletic ability exceeds his instincts and coverage consistency. He constricts short routes from tight man with twitchy feet and short-area quickness. He triggers quickly from the top of his drop but is often a step late because he fails to anticipate breaks and read the quarterback for clues. McCutchin plays the receiver instead of the throw, which explains the lack of takeaways. Zone coverage is pitch-and-catch in front of him and will continue to be until he sharpens his instincts/recognition. If he makes strides in those areas, he can take a big leap. Special-teams cover value could buy the patience for a longer look.
While some have McCutchin pegged as an undrafted free agent, his special teams value and impressive showing at the combine make the Houston cornerback a sleeper on Day 3.
