Vieira de Moura Architects Wins Global Recognition for Villa Fortaleza

Vieira de Moura Architects has been named the winner of the Luxury Lifestyle Awards for “Best Luxury Villa Architecture” for its design of Villa Fortaleza in Vila do Bispo, Portugal. The firm’s award-winning residential project stands out for its intelligent use of terrain, sustainable systems and its strong architectural presence along the southern cliffs of the Algarve.

Positioned to maximise sea views, Villa Fortaleza leverages its steep slope to create a multi-level layout with expansive terraces and seamless ocean-facing sightlines. The architectural design strikes a balance between privacy and openness, with the northern façade maintaining a clean, minimalist exterior, while the southern side opens up dramatically with angular geometry and extensive glazing that faces the Atlantic.
