Victoria Mboko and Cristina Bucsa are set to face each other in the Hong Kong Open 2025 final on Sunday.

Mboko overcame the third-seed and the 2023 champion, Leylah Fernandez, in the semifinals to reach her maiden WTA 250 singles final. Cristina Bucsa, on the other hand, eliminated the fifth-seeded Maya Joint in the first semifinal to enter her maiden WTA singles final. The Spaniard registered a thumping 6-3, 6-1 win over the Australian to continue her dominant run in Hong Kong. She received a walkover by top-seeded Belinda Bencic in the quarterfinals after straight-set wins over YeXin Ma and Emiliana Arango in the first two rounds at Victoria Park.

The 27-year-old is ranked No. 68 in the WTA singles and boasts a 32-30 win-loss record this season. Before the Hong Kong Open, her best performance came at the US Open, where she defeated Alexandra Eala and the No. 19 seed Elise Mertens before losing to the eventual champion, Aryna Sabalenka, in the fourth round.
