If you wanna be in this family, you’ve got to get along.
And right now, the longtime alleged friction between Victoria Beckham and her daughter-in-law Nicola Peltz Beckham has reportedly caused a bigger rift in the family.
Nicola tied the knot with Victoria and husband David Beckham’s oldest son, Brooklyn, in 2022, and rumors of a feud have swirled ever since. However, the drama hit an all-time high when Brooklyn and Nicola failed to attend his dad’s 50th birthday bash.
A source told US Weekly on Thursday that the “bad blood” between the Spice Girls singer, 51, and the actress, 30, has left Victoria and the retired soccer star, 50, “really upset.”
“David and Victoria just want all the drama to stop,” the insider shared. “They’re really upset that it’s all become so public. It’s embarrassing for them, especially since they’ve always tried to come across as this super tight, united family. Victoria wants all of her kids to get along and wants everyone to move on. It’s upsetting for her to see as a mother.”
The source noted that the alleged rift started long before Brooklyn, 26, and Nicola walked down the aisle.
“Things never really got smoothed over, and you can tell it still affects everyone,” they explained. “The tension is still present and it’s hard for Brooklyn at times. Brooklyn’s having a tough time with it. He’s super stubborn and just wants space from his family right now.”
On Saturday, Brooklyn and Nicola were noticeably missing from David’s 50th birthday party.
“He completely supports and stands by Nicola, and it has put a rift in his relationship with his parents,” the source continued. “Nicola is outspoken and that is what has caused tension with his parents. She will defend Brooklyn a lot and is defensive. Brooklyn will always be on Nicola’s side, and that’s made things even more tense between him and his parents.”
They stated that Brooklyn has tried to “mend” things with David and Victoria, who also share kids Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 13, but his parents “aren’t understanding of his side of the story.”
“They asked him to come to the birthday party and Brooklyn refused, so they are all taking space right now,” said the insider.
The Post reached out to Victoria, David, Brooklyn and Nicola’s reps for comment.
Earlier this week, another source told Us Weekly that Brooklyn and Nicola still wanted to celebrate David for his birthday and asked for a “separate meet-up.”
However, rumor has it that the newest family drama is allegedly about Romeo’s girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, who was reportedly romantically tied to Brooklyn in the past — but sources told Page Six that’s “nonsense.”
“David and Victoria are over it,” the source expressed to US Weekly regarding the family rift. “They’ve thrown in the towel over the whole thing.”
“David and Victoria just want to treat everyone the same and approach life like a family and the family does things a certain way,” the insider went on. “But Brooklyn isn’t playing it like that, and everything is a drama.”
“They just tell the whole family there’s a party, ‘Here’s the time, here’s the date.’ It’s not that complicated. Everyone else seems OK with it.”
Romeo, Kim, Cruz and Harper were all present at David’s star-studded party at London’s Core restaurant.
The couple of 25 years reportedly hopes that Brooklyn and Nicola will “come around.”
“It just seems like every event — from weddings to birthdays to holidays — there’s a drama,” the insider added.
On the flip side, sources told TMZ on Wednesday that Brooklyn and Nicola are “fed up” with how his “toxic” and “narcissistic” parents treat them.
An insider also claimed that the young couple is “devastated” by Victoria and David’s alleged “performative” behavior and believes they’re “choosing to scapegoat” the actress instead of working through the problems.
Brooklyn and Nicola have reportedly “made themselves available for months and months to discuss all of the ongoing drama” with David and Victoria, who allegedly don’t want her involved in the family conversation, per TMZ.
The family rift dates back to Nicola’s 2022 wedding in Palm Beach, Florida, when sources claimed that Victoria and the bride-to-be were at odds.
The “Bates Motel” alum allegedly chose to wear a Valentino wedding dress over a gown by Victoria’s fashion label, which caused conflict.
However, Nicola shut down speculation, telling Variety at the time, “She didn’t say ‘you can’t wear it;’ I didn’t say I didn’t want to wear it. That’s where it started, and then they ran with that.”
