Victor Wembanyama has been the newest mega star in the NBA, and he proved that in the San Antonio Spurs' return to the Playoffs. In Game 1 against the Portland Trail Blazers, Wemby had the best debut of any Spurs player with his 35-point performance.
Considering this team also had Tim Duncan and David Robinson play for them, it is a true sign that Wemby is set for legendary status for the Spurs moving forward. However, he continues to be the prime example of a good teammate.
Victor Wembanyama still credits his teammates in fantastic Playoffs debut
It was one of the best performances from the postseason so far. Wembanyama continues to prove that he is one of the biggest anomalies in the NBA because he stands at 7'5", but he continues to dominate from the perimeter and the paint.
In all facets of the game, Wembanyama manages to make an impact. That is unreal from such a young player, but he will continue to prove that he belongs as a superstar because he truly affects the game like no other player.

Despite this unmatched impact, Wembanyama always defaults to crediting his teammates. He knows that he won't get anywhere if he did not have some good teammates, which he addressed in his post-game interview, which he elaborated further in the press conference.
"Nobody walks alone, it's all natural. They would have done the same thing for me... I think it takes good teams and makes them great teams. If we have all this positivity off the court, it's something that can take us above our level on the court," Wembanyama said in the press conference.
As the Spurs continue to play in this postseason series against the Trail Blazers, Wembanyama will continue to showcase why he is one of the best players in the league, even if he is only a third-year player.
The proof is already in the pudding, and he is ready to keep showcasing that he belongs alongside the likes of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Nikola Jokic.
