Victor Wembanyama downplays his monumental postseason debut by crediting his teammates

Victor Wembanyama has been the newest mega star in the NBA, and he proved that in the San Antonio Spurs' return to the Playoffs. In Game 1 against the Portland Trail Blazers, Wemby had the best debut of any Spurs player with his 35-point performance.

"Nobody walks alone, it's all natural. They would have done the same thing for me... I think it takes good teams and makes them great teams. If we have all this positivity off the court, it's something that can take us above our level on the court," Wembanyama said in the press conference.

As the Spurs continue to play in this postseason series against the Trail Blazers, Wembanyama will continue to showcase why he is one of the best players in the league, even if he is only a third-year player.

The proof is already in the pudding, and he is ready to keep showcasing that he belongs alongside the likes of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Nikola Jokic.
