Veterans Day is Tuesday, Nov. 11, and restaurants nationwide are showing their appreciation and honoring veterans with food deals and freebies.
Some places require proof of service, like a military ID, and some allow veterans and their families to get in on it.
Here are the deals to look out for this Veterans Day:
Applebee’s
On Nov. 11, for the 18th consecutive year, Applebee’s will offer all active-duty military, veterans, reservists and National Guard members a free, full-sized entrée from an exclusive Veterans Day Menu.
Available for dine-in only, the 2025 Veterans Day Menu includes seven of Applebee’s most popular entrées: 6 oz. Top Sirloin, Classic Bacon Cheeseburger, Chicken Tenders Platter, Double Crunch Shrimp, Fiesta Lime Chicken, Oriental Chicken Salad and Three-Cheese Chicken Penne.
Buffalo’s Cafe
Veterans and active-duty military can receive 25% off their meal when dining in, not including alcohol, with a military ID or uniform.
California Pizza Kitchen
Exclusively on Tuesday, all veterans and active-duty service members can enjoy a complimentary entrée and beverage from a special prix fixe menu when dining at any participating CPK location. A valid military ID must be presented to redeem the offer, though no purchase is necessary.
Additionally, all veterans and active-duty service members who dine that day will receive a Buy One Get One (BOGO) bounce back card redeemable for a pizza, pasta or salad of equal or lesser value on a future visit between Nov. 12-25 with the purchase of the same.
Chipotle
On Tuesday, Nov. 11, the military community can enjoy any entrée and get a second for free from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. local time. Guests who have a valid military ID will be eligible for the promotion, which applies to bowls, burritos, salads and taco entrees.
Additionally, from Nov. 11-16, the food chain will feature the United Service Organizations (USO) in its Round Up for Real Change feature on its app and website. Guests can round up their order total to the next highest dollar to donate to the organization.
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf
Veterans and active-duty military members — as well as their spouses — can head to the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf to enjoy a free regular-sized drink with proof of military ID at participating locations.
Additionally, through Jan. 1, 2026, all guests can purchase a $25 gift card and receive a $5 coupon to redeem between Jan. 2 and Feb. 28, 2026.
Dave & Buster’s
This Veterans Day, Dave & Buster’s is offering all veterans and active-duty military a free entrée (up to $20) and a $10 Power Card for gameplay at any location nationwide. The offer is valid in-store only with a valid military ID.
Additionally, veterans and active military receive 15% off food and beverage purchases year-round at Dave & Buster’s.
Fazoli’s
Get a free spaghetti with marinara or meat sauce when dining in at Fazoli’s with code “VET25” when you present a valid Military ID or wear a military uniform.
Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers
Freddy’s is honoring veterans and current military personnel with a free Freddy’s Combo meal card at participating locations. No purchase is necessary, and cards may be redeemed through Dec. 31, 2025.
The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill
In celebration of Veterans Day, The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill invites veterans to enjoy “Gyros for Our Heroes,” an all-day dine-in-only promotion that gives veterans 25% off all gyros and Gyro Combo Meals.
Hard Rock Cafe
Active and retired military members can snag a complimentary Classic Smash Burger all day long at the Hard Rock Cafe with a valid ID. Veterans can also combine this offer with Hard Rock’s 15% military discount.
Hurricane Grill & Wings
Veterans and active-duty military with ID or wearing a uniform can enjoy a complimentary entrée from the following options: 10 Bone-In Wings, Beer-Battered Fish & Chips, Steakburger, Chicken Caesar Salad, Buttermilk Crispy Chicken Sandwich or Chicken BLT Tacos.
IHOP
On Tuesday, Nov. 11, veterans and active-duty military can eat free at participating locations with proof of military service.
The dine-in only offer is a free Red, White and Blueberry Pancake Combo, including two buttermilk pancakes topped with glazed strawberries, blueberry topping and whipped topping, as well as two eggs, hash browns, and your choice of two strips of crispy hickory-smoked bacon or two pork sausage links.
LIME Fresh Mexican Grill
Veterans can eat free at LIME on Nov. 11 and will receive a LIME Challenge Coin (a $50 value, excluding alcohol) to use anytime throughout the year. Simply show a veteran ID at checkout to redeem.
The restaurant will continue to celebrate beyond the holiday by inviting veterans with the Challenge Coin to dine for free on the 11th of every month — a new tradition created to celebrate and thank them all year long.
Native Grill & Wings
Veterans and active-duty military with a military ID or wearing a military uniform can get a a half-pound Stripper Combo, half-pound Boneless Combo, Native Chicken Sandwich with fries or #MyNative Burger with fries when dining in.
Raising Cane’s
On Nov. 11, Raising Cane’s is honoring those who serve with its Hero Discount Program. Active or nonactive military, fire, police and EMTs — and their families — will receive 10% off their entire purchase when they mention the program at the register. This order is only valid for dine-in or drive-thru orders.
Round Table Pizza
Through Nov. 14, get 15% off your order with code “RTP321” at participating locations, valid for dine-in, carry-out and delivery.
Shake Shack
On Veterans Day, all active and retired military personnel can enjoy Shake Shack’s biggest burger yet — the new Big Shack — for free by showing military ID.
The Big Shack features two 100% Angus beef patties, layers of American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and thick-cut dill pickles with a bonus bun in the middle.
Sheetz
The restaurant and convenience chain will pay its respect and gratitude for veterans and active duty military personnel by offering a free half turkey sub — including extras and add-ons — and a regular-size fountain drink on Veterans Day. They can also get a free car wash at Sheetz locations, an offer that only applies to the $9 wash option, and military ID or proof of service must be presented to qualify.
Customers are also encouraged to donate loyalty points to the USO via the Sheetz app. One hundred loyalty points equals a $1 donation.
Smokey Bones
All veterans and active-duty military can get a free Bacon Cheeseburger, Pulled Pork Sandwich or Chicken Tender Platter with one regular side when dining in with a valid military ID — though it cannot be combined with the military discount.
Smoothie King
Smoothie King is honoring those who serve with a free 20-oz. smoothie at participating locations nationwide — no purchase necessary. The offer is available from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and includes three patriotic options: Strawberry X-Treme (red), Slim-N-Trim Vanilla (white) and Blueberry Heaven (blue).
Taco John’s
In honor of the holiday, veterans and active-duty military members to enjoy a free Small Beef Crispy Taco Combo or Small Beef Softshell Taco Combo at Taco John’s by presenting a military ID or proof of service at participating restaurants, available in-store or through the drive-thru.
TGI Fridays
This Veterans Day, present a valid military ID to receive a free meal when dining in from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at participating locations. Vets can choose from a select menu of guest favorites, including cheeseburger with fries, chicken fingers with fries and coleslaw, chicken Caesar salad, half rack of ribs with choice of side, or a half portion of Cajun shrimp & chicken pasta.
Tim Hortons
Tim Hortons guests who are in a U.S. military uniform or present a valid veteran’s ID at participating restaurants will receive a free classic donut on Nov. 11. The offer is only valid in-store and cannot be combined with any other deal, combo or offer.
Wendy’s
Those who served or are currently in the U.S. military can head to Wendy’s to get a free Breakfast Combo during breakfast hours on Nov. 11, no purchase required. Just notify the crew member at the register or show your VetRewards Card.
Whataburger
Starting Nov. 11, active-duty military and veterans can pick up one free Taquito every Tuesday through Dec. 30 in-store at any Whataburger restaurant during breakfast hours.
Whataburger will also continue its year-round offer of a free 16-ounce hot or iced coffee for veterans and active-duty military, available in-store any time, which can be paired with the Taquito for breakfast on the house.
