A veteran Phoenix Suns center may be on his way out, with one team emerging as a suitor.
NBA insider Jake Fischer said Wednesday that the Toronto Raptors are a team to watch for Nick Richards.
"Phoenix has Nick Richards' contract that they're looking to move, that they almost moved to Toronto," Fischer said. "Would Toronto pivot back to Nick Richards?"

Richards is on an expiring $5 million contract this season. A trade would provide the Suns with significant luxury tax relief, as they're in the first apron.
Richards hasn't found consistent playing time in Phoenix this season, averaging 3.2 points and 3.3 rebounds in 23 games. He hasn't played 20+ minutes in a game since Nov. 24.
He's been behind former Hornets teammate Mark Williams on the depth chart for most of the season. The Suns may want to give rookie center Khaman Maluach more minutes and view Richards as expendable.
He's in his second season with the Suns after being acquired from the Charlotte Hornets at last year's trade deadline. Richards had a significant role after the trade last season, posting 9.5 points and 8.6 rebounds in 36 games, including 34 starts.
The veteran could provide front court depth for the Raptors, who are without starting center Jakob Poeltl for the foreseeable future. Rookie Collin Murray-Boyles has emerged as a reliable contributor in place of Poeltl. He's averaging 7.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and was recently named to the Rising Stars Challenge.
The Suns could waive Richards if a trade partner isn't found before Thursday's trade deadline.
