The Vault in Destiny 2 requires a much-needed upgrade from its current state. With a high surge of new gear pieces and hoarding of potential god rolls, players are starting to fill up their storage with more and more new gear pieces, while also keeping some of past gears intact. This is to be expected, as the whole point of a "looter-shooter" is to hoard on weapons and armor, unneeded or not.
On the "Content Calendar" blog post released on November 14, Bungie went into the details of several changes they're making for power progression in Renegades, alongside a small roadmap for the expansion.
However, one of the changes includes the Vault, where players will see an increase in storage by 300, and a new filtering sytem. This article lists the changes thar are being made to the Vault.
Vault expanded with a new filtering system in Destiny 2: Renegades
Players will get a total of 1000 Vault spaces in Renegades, upgraded from 700. This means that any unused Tier 5 weapons you have lying around can now be deposited into your storage, without having to feel the pressure of brimming your vault up. However, it is recommended to dispose of any non-tier weapons or armor that you are not needing currently in the game.
Aside from the slot expansion, Bungie is implementing a filtering system in the mix as well. This should help players sort their gears based on tiers, rarity, date, power, and slot. There is also the option to sort the listing with both ascending to descending, and vice-versa.
