Levani Damuni's college football career could've begun in 2017.
But that year, he instead went to serve a two-year mission in New Zealand. He was already signed to Stanford, but he didn't arrive for the Cardinal until a couple of years later.
And somehow, Dumani is still playing college football.
He'll be in his third year with Utah (second healthy season).
In 2023, Dumani led the Utes in tackles. He tore his Achilles leading into the 2024 season, giving him another year to run it back.

Dumani played for seasons at Stanford, with a total of 207 tackles.
He was named to The Athletic's All-Geezer Team, among the longest-tenured college football players.
Now, Dumani is prepping for his seventh season of college football. That 2017 class he could've been in at Stanford included players who have reached multiple NFL contracts, like tight end Colby Parkinson.
Dumani isn't done on NCAA gridirons, though.
